Building Resilience

Evidence-based tools to help your people manage pressure, recover faster and sustain high performance — without burning out

The Challenge :

Modern work asks a lot. Deadlines compress, resources shrink, and the pace of change rarely gives people time to recover before the next demand arrives. Even the most capable, committed people can find themselves running on empty — not because they lack resilience, but because no one has ever given them the tools to build it.

Resilience isn’t a personality trait. It’s a set of skills — and like any skill, it can be taught, practised and strengthened. This programme gives your people the evidence-based tools to do exactly that.

What participants will learn :

Evidence Base :

Kobasa's 3Cs of Hardiness (Commitment, Control, Challenge)

The psychological foundations of resilience under stress.

Seligman's 3Ps of Optimism

Reframing tools drawn from positive psychology to interrupt unhelpful thinking patterns.

Schwartz & Loehr's Energy Management model

Managing physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy as the foundation of sustained performance.

The Exhaustion Funnel (Åsa Lundqvist)

A visual model for understanding how burnout develops and where to intervene.

Post-Traumatic Growth research (Tedeschi & Calhoun)

Evidence that adversity, navigated well, can strengthen rather than diminish capacity.

It won’t be for everyone, but for those that do give it a go, it has the potential to be one of the most impactful pieces of personal development they will do in their careers.”

David Cole COO, UK Sport

" One more testimonial. ‘Gill and Viv of Koru opened up the minds of me and my colleagues to a new vocabulary which described our lived experience, helped us to understand it, and - most importantly - helped us to handle it. Many if not people are resistant to change, but change is increasingly unavoidable. To be happy and successful is to learn how to thrive in an environment of constant change. A growth mindset helps you to achieve this."
